For many years, back when things were more active over there, I edited Mood Themes at livejournal. Not that I worked for them but any member with an account can setup mood themes and I quickly learned it wasn't that difficult. I setup a wide range of them, using sprites and mugen and cons and arcage characters...
...and though LJ is no longer that active, they're all mostly (dead links happen everywhere) still there.
